 Moustiers Sainte Marie


Listed as "one of France'smost beautiful villages", the center of Moustiers is only 700 meters from our campsite.
Within walking distance of the village (and the campsite), you will find some beautiful short and longer walks and hikes.


Activities :

- Weekly market every Friday morning; 
- Night Market every Wednesday evening from 6 to 11 pm (july and august)
- Open air cinema every Friday night (july and august);
- Farmers' Market every Sunday evening  - right next to the campsite (4 to 8 pm).


 The Gorges du Verdon



 The Lac de Ste Croix

The largest Canyon in Europe (33 km long) is located in one largest geological reserve in Europe.
The Sainte Croix lake is an artificial lake with beautiful turquoise waters.
There you can choose from many water/sports... or simply enjoy a nice swim.


The village of Aiguines
 

One of the authentic villages around-its "Chapelle Saint Pierre" with a look-out point (and orientation table) overlooks the village.

The village church "eglise St Jean" dates back to the Middle ages and was extended until the 17th Century.

The first mention of the castle dates back to the Middle ages - though the exact date of its construction is unknow - Nowadays, it is a private residence and is not open to the public.

Located in the center of the village of Moustiers , the museum is open throughout the year.
You can also visit the craftsmen and women's workshops around the village.

Located in Bauduen. Around 6,000 visitors a year come to admire the great Playmobil family. 
Even grown-ups have fun there!

 
Le plateau de Valensole and its surrounding ...

Admire the famous never-ending lavander fields (flowering from mid June to late July - depending on the weather...)

Drive past the olive groves and visit some of the olive oil mills where the olives are pressed to make the renowned Provençal olive oil.

Taste some of the local specialities like: Honey lavender, Provençal almonds,...
You are also in the heart of an area famous for its black truffles.
